Today Pay.gov card sale transactions from 9/16/14 were double reported in CIR. Card refunds were double debited. Pay.gov tech support worked with Vantiv to identify the problem.
Currently the non-duplicated transaction totals appear in Pay.gov. Pay.gov will be updated to reflect the erroneous duplicated amount reported in CIR.
Tomorrow agencies will see these duplicates reversed in their settlement; agency customers will see the reversal on their statements. Pay.gov reports will reflect accurate settlement totals.
The card holder's duplicate charge will be reversed tomorrow as well. Any refund issued because of this issue could affect that reversal.
