The following are legal holidays observed by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. When one of these legal holidays falls on Saturday, the Clerk's Office is closed on the Friday immediately preceding. When it falls on a Sunday, the Clerk's Office is closed on the Monday immediately following.

Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr. - 3rd Monday in January
Presidents' Day - 3rd Monday in February
Memorial Day - Last Monday in May
Independence Day - July 4
Labor Day - 1st Monday in September
Columbus Day - 2nd Monday in October
Veterans' Day - November 11
Thanksgiving Day - 4th Thursday in November
Christmas Day - December 25
Scheduled Closings
The US Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Alabama will also be closed on the following days.
